Emanuel J. De Freitas, CPA, CFP became a partner of the parent firm in 1993. He has extensive experience with privately held businesses and their owners. Manny specializes in business and personal financial planning. In October 2006 Manny also became a Certified Financial Planner. He is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Manny is a graduate from St. John’s University. He is currently an active member and past President of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce and the Mineola Lions Club. Manny also serves as a member of various boards of charitable and service organizations including the Oyster Bay East Norwich Soccer Club. Manny resides in Oyster Bay with his wife Margie and their two children.

Jay Minsky, CPA, was a sole practitioner until December 2001 when he merged his practice with the firm. He became a partner in the new firm of DeFreitas and Minsky CPA LLP as of January 2008. With more than thirty years of experience in public accounting, Jay’s expertise is in the areas of small business operations, business taxes, and individual taxation. He also has extensive experience working with individuals and small business owners to meet their estate and financial planning needs.
Jay is a 1980 graduate of Long Island University, CW Post Campus and has held a CPA license in New York since 1982. He has been a long-time member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a past president of both the Garden City Jewish Center and the Kiwanis Club of the Williston’s. Jay resides in Mineola with his wife Cheryl and their three children.

Daniel P. Sambriski received his Bachelor of Business Science in Accounting degree from Niagara University in May 2005. Daniel joined the firm in November 2009 full time and is currently working to receive his CPA. Daniel’s prior work experiences have steered him towards a background of small business operations, business taxes, and individual taxation.

Jackie Carlos received her Bachelor of Business Arts in Accounting degree from Hofstra University in December 2008. Jackie joined the firm on a part-time basis in January 2009 and began working full-time in January 2010. She is currently working toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Christopher Fasano received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Adelphi University in May 2008. Chris interned at our firm through his senior year and joined the firm full time upon graduation. He is currently working toward his two years of public accounting experience for CPA qualification, and looks forward to becoming a Certified Public Accountant in the future.
